App-led satirical tourist guide

Ancient Shrines and Half Truths

Refuse to tourist. Discover hidden gems, stumble into fragile cultural ceremonies and laugh with Authentic Locals™.
ABOUT THE PROJECT

Guided by a bespoke app, audiences explore a seemingly ordinary city park and its surroundings. A hip narrator promises authentic discoveries that won’t make them feel like dopey tourists. What exotic wildlife dwells in the trees and in the long grass? How can you learn to feel more like a local? And what's the story with Raewan, the local personality/guru everyone’s talking about?A satirical tourism experience that allows audiences to pick their own paths before pitting them against each other in a game of competitive sightseeing.

BROADWAY BABY

“...manages to mercilessly send up the whole traveller-vs-tourist ethos...dares to be downright silly at times...but hits home in lampooning visitor expectations”

THE LIST

"I may be experiencing my home town with fresh eyes but I never feel alien doing so. I may be doing something out of the ordinary, but I am invincible because I am never alone."
